Welcome to Telecooperation

Welcome to the Telecooperation Website. The Telecooperation Lab (TK) represents a group of about 40 people at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Department of Computer Science. Prof. Dr. Max Mühlhäuser is heading this group together with several senior researchers and group leaders. Juniorprofessor Dr. Thorsten Strufe is leading the adjunct group on Peer-to-Peer Networks. The RBG devision is also part of the Lab, conducting eLearning research and providing computing services to the department.

Prof. Mühlhäuser is a directorate member of  CASED, the Center for Advanced Security Research Darmstadt.

Both Prof. Mühlhäuser and Prof. Strufe are members of the DFG funded research group on  Quality in Peer-to-Peer Networks.

Our research and teaching is devoted to Ubiquitous Computing in the Future Internet. We investigate information technology for humans who are surrounded by many networked computers anytime and anywhere, most of which are either embedded in the real world or worn or carried by humans. Pervasive Computing, Smart Environments, and Ambient Intelligence are related terms used in the literature. The envisioned scenarios demand advancements in computer networks and distributed systems (a focus of our teaching), Web and software engineering, multimodal human computer interaction, security & trust, and participatory knowledge processing of humans and machines.

Details about the organization and a description of our research can be found on our research pages.

We invite you to share our vision as you visit our Web pages.
