Member of TK awarded prestigious national Software Campus sponsorship:

Software Campus is a new German government initiative for excellent young computer scienceresearchers proven to have outstanding talents in both research and leadership. The aim of the program is to increase the number of top talented IT specialists who eventually become entrepreneurs or executive board members. Software Campus stands on three pillars:

  • Key players from the German IT industry will provide individually tailored training programs in management and entrepreneurship skills, 
  •  the ministry of research will fund individual projects, to be applied for and conducted by the candidates on their own authority
  •  Thesis supervision will be assured by one of the five German partner universities of the ICT branch of the European Institute of Technology (EIT), Darmstadt with its CRISP institute for IT security research being one of them.  

Immanuel Schweizer, member of TK, was one of the first eleven Software Campus award winners, presented at the Annual IT Summit of the German Government on Dec. 6th, 2011. Prof. Mühlhäuser was present both as his supervisor and as responsible from the EIT node Darmstadt.
